The stairs are made of Terrazzo with reinforced steel inside. Each stair is free-standing and anchored into two feet of concrete onto a railroad tie buried beneath the flooring. Each of the stairs was lifted by crane through the top of the house and anchored into place. The North sloping ceiling was then installed with glass panes to let in natural lighting.

The master bedroom is at the top of the stairway and features a large sunken Jacuzzi tub, a huge walk-through closet and a private study.

Walking through the two level home is an adventure which includes a walking bridge crossing the lake and open platforms to sit, relax and enjoy the cascading water on the old waterwheel. On the top level there is an open slate porch to watch the peaceful swans glide around the lake.
